The Future of BJC

An Important Message to Our Patients

Dear Patients,

Today is a day of celebration.

On Jan. 1, 2024, Saint Luke’s Health System officially joined BJC Health System. And now, together, we begin our journey as an integrated, academic, and patient-centric Missouri-based health system, with a combined workforce of more than 44,000 professionals dedicated to providing extraordinary care for our communities.

  • We now are home to the top three hospitals in Missouri and five of the top 10, according to U.S. News & World Report.

  • Our system remains committed to providing high-quality, affordable care at our 24 hospitals and hundreds of clinics serving Missouri, southern Illinois, and eastern Kansas.

We will serve our communities with no immediate change to the way patients have been receiving care, accessing their health records, or communicating with their medical teams. We will do this through our distinct brand in each region: As BJC HealthCare in the East, serving the St. Louis region and southern Illinois; and as Saint Luke’s in the West, serving Kansas City, northwest Missouri and eastern Kansas.

We are ready to do the important work of fulfilling our vision to improve the health of our communities, and we’re honored to be part of this journey with you.
