President, BJC Home Care and BJC Behavioral HealthWith a unique background and skillset that spans both home care and behavioral health services, Angela was named President of BJC Home Care and BJC Behavioral Health – both services of BJC HealthCare - in July 2023. BJC HealthCare represents the East Region of BJC Health System, which serves the St. Louis area and southern Illinois. BJC Health System’s West Region serves the Kansas City area and eastern Kansas and operates as Saint Luke’s Health System.
BJC Home Care provides compassionate care for patients of all ages who need comprehensive services in their homes, including home health, infusion, home medical equipment, therapy, palliative home care and hospice. The BJC HealthCare team of medical professionals is dedicated to delivering patient-centered care with compassion and continuity, individualized to each and every patient. Hospice care includes both in-home services along with Evelyn’s House, which provides a holistic approach to the emotional, spiritual and physical care of terminally ill patients of all ages in a home-like setting located adjacent to Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital in Creve Coeur.
BJC Behavioral Health has provided an array of mental health services for citizens residing in St. Louis City, St. Louis County and the counties of St. Francois, Iron and Washington, Missouri. It serves as the point of entry for people eligible for services funded through the Missouri Department of Mental Health, along with services provided under some health plans and grants. In 2022, BJC Behavioral Health became a Certified Community Behavioral Health Organization (CCBHO). CCBHO certification enabled expansion of BJC Behavioral Health programs to include more extensive substance use services in support of its mission to improve the mental health and well-being of the people and communities impacted by mental illness.
For Angela, this role expanded her previous responsibilities as Vice President of BJC HealthCare’s BJC Behavioral Health, where she had led day-to-day operations since 2021. Angela excelled in developing and implementing strategies to strengthen BJC’s behavioral health services after originally joining BJC HealthCare in 2018 as executive director of BJC Home Care.
Prior to joining BJC HealthCare, Angela held progressively responsible roles in a wide range of outpatient and inpatient behavioral health and home care settings, leading to her prior position as director of operations at Evergreen Health in Kirkland, Washington.
